Now, after that intro, I know what someone might be thinking right now: 'Great, another to-do list app, like we need another one of those.' But hear me out. I found myself struggling with my task lists, and trying several different task management apps didn’t help much. My experience was similar to what I found many others saying—many apps are overly complicated and make simplifying tasks harder than it should be. So, I decided to build something that I would actually enjoy using, and that’s why I created Mark Done.

By the way, in case you're curious, Mark Done started in 2024 in Uganda. The first six months of the year were spent experimenting with a demo task app I built for Android called Tasky (it never got deployed, though). Then, in mid-August, I decided to make my dream of building a multiplatform task app a reality. After some research, I started developing Mark Done. Plus, the name Tasky was already taken by someone else 😭, but I like Mark Done, so it's all good.
